If you tuned into WCBN FM Ann Arbor last Sunday around 11am, you might have heard my band performing on Yalcin Yanikoglu’s DROMEDARY EXPRESS. If you missed the show, do not fret, because I have the recording of our radio appearance right here! We play Berance, Dontia Pikna, and Zaljube Mamo, then give a short interview. Take a listen to the show and download our free CD at KatunMusic.com if you don’t have it already.
I’d also like to extend a special thanks to Yalcin for having us on his program for the second time, and taking the band out for a spectacular Indian/Chinese buffet lunch! We look forward to visiting your program again.
P.S. Don’t forget to come to one of our gigs in april.

Last week at the University of Michigan College of Engineering Reconfigurable Factory Systems, where I work as a research assistant on a virtual reality project, I created a short animation of a factory worker assembling an arbitrary part. The project was my very first attempt at any kind of character animation. The animation is still at a somewhat rough level of detail, and there are definitely things that need to be improved upon, but it isn’t too bad for a first try. This is also my first serious attempt at rigging a model of a human. The modeling was done using MakeHuman and Blender 3D; rigging, animation, lighting, and rendering was completed in Blender 3D; textures were created in Adobe Photoshop.
